Texas A&M University needed a more effective means of communication with their entire base of on-campus student housing residents. This included two apartment complexes, 12 cadet dorms, and 25 residence halls filled with thousands of students.
The Solution

IRIO worked with Residence Life and their Student Housing Software to build a custom API allowing full integration of resident information with IRIO’s TextCommunity.

Results

The Texas A&M housing administration began texting on-campus students during move-in for the 2017-2018 school year. They discovered that texting students the information proved more effective than previous methods involving Twitter or their website. SMS/MMS is now a primary means of communication with their students.
